Optometrist
Dr. Maricela Cantuna earned her Doctorate in Optometry from Salus University in 2023, after completing a bachelor’s in Biology at Montclair State University and an associate’s degree in Elementary and Secondary Education at Hudson County Community College.

With extensive training across renowned institutions, Dr. Cantuna has honed expertise in primary and refractive care, ocular disease, dry eye, glaucoma, contact lenses, and pediatric care. She began her career at Optical Academy in New Jersey, focusing on myopia control, special needs exams, and post-cataract care. Now practicing full-scope optometry at American Vision Center in New York, Dr. Cantuna is fluent in English and Spanish. Outside the clinic, Dr. Cantuna enjoys baking and movie nights with her 10-year-old son, blending her professional dedication with a love for family and creativity.
